There are many amazing art events happening in the Washington, DC area and attending artist talks is a great way to learn about contemporary artists and their art practices. DC ARTIST TALKS was started by artist Julia Kwon to share an up-to-date and comprehensive calendar of artist talks in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. The project can be followed by checking the web calendar as well as receiving curated lists of artist talks through weekly or biweekly newsletters and social media posts. All featured events are free and open to the public.
